About Polyphony

A business is more
than its systems.

It is people making decisions, sharing information and trying to do useful work together. The technology has to make sense in that world.

I like the difficult
bits between disciplines.

Business analysis, architecture and implementation each bring a different perspective. I work across them to keep the reason for a change connected to the detail of delivering it.

My work has included enterprise ERP implementation, systems integration, data migration and leadership across commercial and project-delivery teams. Before consulting, I was a managing director responsible for commercial performance, day-to-day operations and the systems supporting them.

I want to understand how a business actually works: where people use judgement, where work stalls, and where a system quietly asks too much of the people using it.

I began as a professional musician and later worked in graphic and web design. Polyphony takes its name from independent musical parts contributing to a coherent whole without losing their character. That connection informs my perspective; the work is practical.

I explore the operator's perspective in an account of implementing systems in my own business.

Polyphony Solutions brings that perspective to Odoo, connected business systems and useful applications of AI.

Capability that stays.

Good consultancy should leave your organisation better equipped to make its next decision.

That means explaining the reasoning, making ownership clear and helping your team understand what has been built. Success includes the point at which you can confidently take it forward.

Bring the whole problem.

You don’t need a finished brief. A difficult question, a system that isn’t working, or a change you can’t quite frame is a useful place to start.
